16 November 2011 Ride

No pictures today.  A day of rest of sorts.  Very weary from several nights of rough sleep.  Still, a good day at Community Meals.  Joe had a doctor's appointment so I will massage him on Friday.  The temperature started out at 52 with a strong wind from the north.  By 5:00, when I would be off the trail, the temperature was only supposed to have dropped to 49.  But, the last 90 minutes, the numbers kept ticking off, finally getting as low as 43.  I had hoped to get in at least 30 miles and managed to squeeze out a couple of more.  Something kicks in at the end where, instead of glad to see the last intended mile, I get a surge of energy and am ready to do more.  If it weren't for the fact that the light was quickly fading and Carol and Rachel were waiting at home for me to prepare dinner, I certainly would have gone more.  But the day of "rest" is good.

Today's Ride:  2hrs 53mins.  32.09 miles.  52°-43°  15mph wind.  Miles YTD:  8,981.68

Number of miles per day needed to reach 10,000 miles by the end of the year:  22.63
