A relatively short ride after a full morning of errands including a produce run for Community Meals. While I was in the check out line for some personal shopping, the woman ahead of me qualified for a free frozen turkey but had no use for it. Fale, the cashier, knew I picked up food for the church and asked if we could use it. "Why, yes!"
Speaking of cashiers: Last week when I went into Harp's, Angie was very upset. It turned out that her boxer, who is only 3 years old was in bad shape from cancer and it didn't seem as he would last the week. I saw her yesterday and he is doing better but, still, the long term prognosis is not good. He is the larger one.
A beautiful day, the kind one would wish for when planning a long outing; no wind to speak of, clear skies and reaching a high of 62. I parked on Habberton Rd, made my way to the trail head at the Botanical Garden, did a few miles on the trail and then headed back.
I find that the images of people from behind can be as fascinating and telling as a frontal shot.
At Veteran's Park, coming off the trail and onto the park roadway, there is a collection of brown pebbles that keep grabbing my attention; they look as if someone poured out a bag of pinto beans.
A fence by Lake Fayetteville.
Tomorrow is supposed to be another beautiful day but with food preparation on the agenda for Thanksgiving, I'm sure the ride and posting will be short and quick. A good Thanksgiving to all tomorrow, or, just a good Thursday, as the case may be.
