No pics today. Trying to move things along as we have an international dinner party this evening with, you guessed it, Ghana as the country of theme. Only natural since Carol and Rachel went there this past summer. Everyone is bringing a dish and our contribution will be grilled whole tilapia with a spicy tomato based dipping sauce. I am glad that I didn’t join them in Ghana as I do not believe I would have been able to keeping the bike riding streak alive.
A very good somewhat early ride. Left at 6:50 with a temperature of 56…Very Nice! Cool enough for me to wear tights. I am also surprised at how well the posterior has healed, especially given that I continue to ride every day and, thus, slow down the healing process. I did not expect that I would feel almost back to normal in less than a week.
I had planned to only do a minimum ride but the morning, like a Siren in the ocean, beckoned to me and her voice was irresistible. Okay, I’ll go 15 miles; that will put me just over an hour. But, I seemed to have good energy and if I just add this extra segment that will give me 20 miles and I will still get home at a reasonable hour with plenty of time to get the house in order and hopefully escape any harsh glares.
And then, of course, there was the T as I came back home that I had to throw in which is only another couple of minutes. Maybe I could stretch it to…no, better not. Home, James.
Today’s Ride: 1hr 54min. 22.85 miles. 57 degrees. Miles YTD: 6,313.94
