Up at 5:30, out by 6:00. What a beautiful morning. No wind, 59 degrees, stars still out. It's the pre-dawn scenario when a meteorite streaking across the sky would be the finishing touch to that "beginning of time" feel. No such luck. Just deer eyes glowing from the pasture, a skunk slowly making its way in the grass and a gorgeous 99% full moon tipping the scales of the sky.
Still riding with a broken derailleur cable. I thought of changing it yesterday but resting was more important and the bike did just fine for the morning ride in the neighborhood.
When I stopped to take the picture of the barn above, this fella was stomping around and doing some gallops across the pasture. When he came to a rest by the railing, I didn't expect him to stay put as I approached him. But he did and he even wanted to be stroked. He also patiently posed for this great shot.
And, one more shot of Luna before she disappeared into the day.
Today's Ride: 1hr 22mins. 15.24 miles. 59 degrees. Miles YTD: 6,350.30
