24 September 2011 Ride: I think I Can, I Think I Can.

Pat Murray was able to join me for a ride today and I was glad to have him along as we tackled several large hills.  I was concerned after yesterday's 50 miler, how I would feel this morning.  But, even after a fitful night of sleep, I was ready to go and felt energized.  I think doing the long ride yesterday helped get me out of the funk I seemed to be in.

Heavy overcast in the morning but a line of clear sky along the horizon.  Even though it looked as if it might rain any moment, the forecast called for clearing skies within an hour of our ride.  But almost the entire ride we had a heavy overcast with an occasional light sprinkle thrown in here and there.

We were on lots of quiet roads today with plenty of vistas that made us thankful for living in a place with such gorgeous riding opportunities.

Only one more picture from the ride today as there was just enough rain to keep the camera packed away.

Pat hadn't ridden in two weeks so he ended up having a good run for his money with two one mile climbs and several other shorter but steep climbs.  I was surprised to see at the end of the ride I felt better than I did yesterday after riding.

Today's Ride:  5hrs 5mins.   58.12 miles.  57-67 degrees.  Miles YTD:  6,687.70
