10 October 2011 Ride: 10,000 Here We Come?

A good hard sleep last night, though maybe too hard as Carol said I snored quite a bit.  Sorry.  After dealing with a dead battery and running Lupe to the vet, I planned to get back home and put in a good ride.  Updating the blog entry from the rain forest ride on Saturday took up quite a bit of time but it was an entry I felt was well worth investing time and energy on.  I drove to the Botanical Garden and didn't get on the bike until 2:30.

Most of the riding was actually done in the area to the east of the trail and Garden area on country lanes and neighborhoods both completed and uncompleted.  I had hoped to get in at least 30 miles before needing to head back home to prepare dinner.  But my pace and energy and spirit was good and I managed to pack in a few extra miles - just over the current miles per day needed to reach 10,000 miles for the year.

I'm still not convinced that 10,000 miles will be possible for me.  We shall see how things progress.  Come the end of November and December, getting the needed miles might be very tough.

Today's Ride:  2hrs. 51mins.  36.06 miles.  70°     Miles YTD:  7,090.60

Number of miles per day needed to reach 9,000 miles by the end of the year: 23.29
...to reach 10,000 miles by the end of the year: 35.48
