4 October 2011 Ride: Ward Off

Very run down this morning as it seems as if I'm trying to ward off a bug of some sorts or another.  Wish I could get a picture of it!   I had hoped to put in another 40 miles this morning but I was severely dragging as I worked through the hectic morning to get ready for our departure to Panama this evening.  Waking up at 3:50 didn't help.  But once on the trail, I was surprised how well I felt.  If it weren't for being squeezed for time, I could easily have ridden farther. 

An interesting sight off the bike trail.  I didn't see any signs of a grass fire and I wondered if they were just training.  Made for some pretty veils of mists.

The miles per day needed to reach 9,000 (10,000?) will rise this week as I won't be able to get in much riding down there.  Maybe the "rest" will do me good and I'll come back in full force.
